Your maternity session is designed to be relaxed, enjoyable, and completely tailored to you. Here’s a quick look at what you can expect from start to finish.

The best time for outdoor family sessions is during golden hour — that beautiful, soft light right before sunset.

Kids will be kids — and that’s exactly how I want them to be. Don’t worry if they get wiggly, silly, or shy. I’ve got plenty of tricks up my sleeve, and your only job is to show up, love on your family, and enjoy the moment.
A quick note about your littles:
Children respond best when there aren’t a lot of adults vying for their attention. It’s completely natural to want to help get them to smile — I know that instinct well — but during your session, I ask that you take a small step back and let me connect with them directly.I’ve been doing this a long time and I promise, genuine smiles and real connections come when kids feel relaxed, not overwhelmed. When multiple people are calling their names or trying to get them to look at the camera, it can confuse or frustrate them — and that shows in the photos.
There may be moments when I ask you to step in if I feel like your familiar touch or a favorite “parent trick” might help, and I’ll absolutely let you know when that time comes. Otherwise, trust me to guide the moment — my goal is to make your children feel comfortable, confident, and most importantly, themselves.

Before your session, we’ll connect via email questionnaire to go over all the details — I will ask various questions regarding wardrobe, styling, vision, and any specific ideas or preferences you have. This helps me get to know you and make sure everything feels perfectly “you.”

Your wardrobe sets the tone of your images. Soft, coordinated colors and simple textures photograph beautifully and allow your love and connection to shine.

✔ Eat a light meal before the session — hungry kids (and adults!) get cranky.
✔ Bring water, snacks, wipes, and tissues.
✔ Leave phones, wallets, and keys in the car or my bag during the session.

Warm-up time: I take a few minutes to help everyone relax and get comfortable in front of the camera.
Guided direction: I’ll gently pose and prompt your family to bring out genuine moments.
Playful connection: Expect tickles, walking hand-in-hand, hugs, and snuggles — all the moments that show your bond.
Candid magic: Some of the best shots happen when no one’s looking directly at the camera.
Family groupings: We’ll capture a mix of everyone together, individuals, siblings, and parents alone.
Sessions typically last anywhere from 15 minutes to 60 minutes (depending on the package you selected), but we’ll take our time so nothing feels rushed. I’ve been doing this a long time, and you can trust that the minimum number of images promised will absolutely be captured within your session time.

Within 1–2 weeks, you’ll receive a small sneak peek — a few of my favorite images from your session — so you can relive a bit of that magic right away.
2. Gallery Viewing + Ordering Appointment
Once your gallery is ready, we’ll schedule your in person reveal. During this time, I’ll walk you through your images and help you select the perfect pieces for your home — from heirloom albums to wall art and fine art prints.
This is where your story truly comes to life — through tangible artwork that you can hold, display, and cherish for generations.
3. Prints, Albums + Wall Art
Each product I offer is crafted with longevity and quality in mind.
Albums are designed to tell your story beautifully and are custom-made to fit your style.
Wall art is available in a range of finishes and sizes to complement your home decor.
Fine art prints are printed on museum-grade paper, ensuring your images look timeless and elegant for years to come.
If you’re not sure what’s best for your space, I’ll happily guide you through your options during your reveal/ordering appointment.
4. Digital Files
Your digital images will be delivered in high-resolution, ready for printing and sharing. You’ll receive them via private online gallery, along with easy instructions for safe storage once you have completed your ordering session.
5. Keepsake + Next Steps
After your order is placed, I’ll take care of everything from retouching and printing to packaging and delivery.
Your finished artwork will be ready for pickup or shipped directly to your home within 1-2 weeks after your ordering session.6. Final Thoughts
